KALMATRON® KC - ADMIXTURE TO CEMENT
INTRODUCTION
KALMATRON® KC is a powdered admixture to the Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) to upgrade its performance with features up to Micro Cements. The lower the grades of the OPC, the higher effectiveness of KC. That's why results are variable but always exceed targeted properties.
APPLICATION
- KC is dosed by 1% from weight of the OPC (10 Kg of KC per 1000 Kg of cement).
- KC performance does not depend on cement grindability.
USES
- Upgrading of the low-active cements up to the highest modifications.
- Upgrading of abandoned cements after shelf life terms.
- Non shrinking and water impermeable performance of concrete is common.
TRANSFORMATIONS OF ORDINARY PORTLAND CEMENT BY KC ADMIXTURE
As it is known, the production or enhancement of the high quality Portland cements is expensive because of costly fine grinding, longer term burning in kiln, cooling, etc.
Application of KC is as simple as mixing with the cement during the last stage of the standard technology. Selective test of pre-admixed KC with the worst cement in the plant results in a highly modified type of cement in accordance with ASTM classification.
