KALMATRON® KF-G
Inventions of the 21st century
A hair thin crack in the concrete specimen.
The same area 7 days after KF-G treatment.
Magnified x60 to x600 area of re -
crystallization on the edges of the crack.
The microcrack has been completely re - crystallized by KF-G.
KALMATRON® KF-G
Liquid spray that regenerates concrete and heals shrinkage cracks

KF-G represents a new concept in concrete rehabilitation technology and is highly recognized for its effective performance and simplicity of application. In most cases, after KF-G is applied to the damaged area, there is no need for any additional layer on top unless an overlay is required for aesthetic reasons. While the concrete looks the same, its strength, corrosion resistance and impermeability to liquids reflect the features of High Performance Concrete.

APPLICATION OF KF-G FOR CRACKS  < 2 mm wide
It's well known that cracks less than 2 mm wide are not repairable at all. The total volume occupied by these micro-cracks is much larger than the total volume of repairable cracks. KF-G actually heals these micro-cracks and increases the compressive strength by 30% to 50% after 28 days.

APPLICATION OF KF-G FOR CRACKS  > 2 mm wide
If it is required that the concrete be uniformly cured, it must be relined in accordance with Application FOR CRACKS OVER 2 mm wide. KF-G increases concrete's superficial density and radiation attenuation, which is useful for the restoration of aged nuclear facilities.

APPLICATION OF KF-G AS A REBAR CORROSION INHIBITOR
KF-G is a Corrosion Inhibitor meeting the requirements of ASTM C1582. When KF-G is sprayed onto concrete, it chemically inhibits the corrosive action of chlorides on reinforcing steel, anchors and prestressed strands.
The self-healing process can be seen right after KF-G is applied.
The crack is completely healed. Seen is a superficial, slight, white trace. After 4 days the white trace disappears.
Deformational crack with a width of 3 mm.

THREE EGGS EXPERIMENT
The re-calcination of an egg's shell matrix by triggering Three Calcium Silicate
INJECTIONS are time consuming.
Re-calcination of concrete by KF-G results in the “sewing” of any voids, including micro-cracks, with an increase in density which is measurable in 4 to 72 hours, depending on the initial density loss.
KALMATRON® KF-G
Instead, just pour or spray KALMATRON® KF-G and distribute it evenly with a brush or broom, as shown at right.

The treated concrete becomes waterproof, dense and resistant to compression, abrasion and rupture.
Above are close ups of a crack in a concrete floor. At left: the crack is treated with KALMATRON® KF-G. The resulting re-crystallization after 30 hours is shown at right.
